Hello I’m in my 3rd year at Rutgers University majoring in Criminal Justice and I was wondering what jobs can I get after I get my undergraduate degree even though I’m planning on going for my Masters… I am currently working a part time job at Wal-mart making over $10.00 but I want abetter job any suggestions.. I live in New Jersey

I also have been arrested twice before when i was 18 and now that I’m 21 but I have never been convicted of a crime so I was wondering if it will be difficult for me to find a job with my Criminal Justice degree and whether I should expunge my record? Thanks
By the way I was arrested for a DP,then the second time I was arrested for beating up my ex boyfriend he put charges against me but never showed up to court so they were dismissed… Thanks

If you have never been convicted of anything, there is nothing to expunge. Your record is clean. Most jobs only ask about convictions, and usually only felonies. In any case, an arrest that resulted in no charges being pressed will not show up on any background check. You are an innocent man in the eyes of the law, my friend. It would be unfair to impugn you over unfounded charges. You have suffered enough.
The arrests will be visible to law enforcement checks, or government security clearances, but still should not hinder you. Didn’t they teach you that at Rutgers?
cheers!
