What EXACTLY do I have to give a company asking for a Criminal Record Check?
I was recently got a job I applied for but before they hire me they need a criminal background check. They told me that this is something that I have to pay for and provide. The question is: I have been arrested many times, mostly for stupid things like Driving under suspension but I have also been arrested for bigger things like “Aggravated Robbery” It was a mistake and I did one day in Jail and the charges dropped but I assume that the arrest record will still be there.
Basically, what I WANT to give this company is something saying to the effect of
” This person has no warrants, has NOT been convicted of a felony and is not wanted by FBI, Interpol etc.”
Does this kind of “cooperate” Background check exist and if so where and also What am I required to give the company.
The background check will show any crimes you were convicted of. It does not necessarily mean you won’t get the job.
Any place that makes you pay for your own background check though probably isn’t worth working for.
