Can an infraction end up on my criminal record?
I recently was ticketed for trying to pass off a fake ID as my own. Long story short, I was ticketed $125 . I have done some research I believe this is an infraction . Im not sure, but I think this goes under the same class of tickets as parking tickets, etc… Main point being, does this go on my criminal record/if I want to leave the country to go on vacation , will I get hassled? My current understanding is that only if you are arrested, convicted, and charged, does the act on your criminal record.

Infractions by definition are not crimes. In Missouri they do not show up in your traffic history and as far as I know, are not reported to the State or NCIC. So it should not show up in any database except the CAD where the citation was issued.

One of the ways they can avoid this is simply go online to your favorite search engine and type the name of the person and see what gives. What you need to do is find out the name of the real person it is important that the person may go by a nickname or middle name and you will not be able to get the information you need.
Once the full name then try to figure out where else the person has lived. You can do this with just a casual questions about where they grew up or went to the university. Once you get this information then go to your computer and search the Internet under the name of the person, the city and state in which they lived, plus a term, as the court records or criminal records. If there was one case that went through the criminal justice system, with your name, then emerge in the search engines.
An example of this would go into something like this: "Name of person + + + Los Angeles California Criminl registration. You can try that or another word in rather than criminal records, including records of the court. The key is to try to use different words when trying to see if you can get any information at all about the person. Once again have to get the exact name of the person to get the correct information. If you have a very common first and last name, then the best to get the middle name of the person, as this will reduce confusion for the person with another person. It also helps if you have the cities that the person has lived in as you can get criminal records in cities as well.
Once you get the information you need can act accordingly. Having the information that the new nurse was arrested for the abuse or the new neighbor has a history of theft then you'll know what to do to keep your family and yourself out of danger. Do your research and get criminal records before they are too late. Your family is worth it, you can not put a price on safety. Get the information you need, literally, could save your life.
