Hi, we are naming our daughter Carmen and im looking for an old fashioned name to be her middle name. does anyone know of any websites where i can actually do FREE genealogy research to look at her past grandparents, etc names? and one more question….do you have any family members such as a grandma or aunt with an older fashioned name? thanks

Your Genealogy Research Project.
As described in Part I of this series of four articles that are good procedures to follow, step by step, to be able to document and prove your ancestral line. These methods may seem a little boring at first, but if you do not every procedure will be recommended missing crucial details that will be able to prove your connection.

6 – In some earlier documents you have accumulated at the beginning, you've found a few obituaries and death notices. Visit the cemeteries where you know some of your ancestors are buried and record stones known persons of interest and also record the names and dates of people who are buried right next to them. Chances are you will later find that they are linked. The cemetery office or the clerk also have information more detailed than what is on the stone or a stone could fail, but they have burial information. These you lead to many more details that will confirm the relationship. This is one step that most novice genealogists Skip over and you should not miss this opportunity the most excellent. It never fails that when you return to visit your great aunt or an elderly person, they will be so happy see you and they will always say something like: "I wanted to call you …" because they remembered something in between. Well Naturally, they never call it up to you to go back and refresh their memory. Besides, you brighten their day each visit.
9 – There are thousands of free websites that you can get information from the Internet. If you put this seriously effort, you can also subscribe to some paid subscription sites where you can get details of the actual census online. Some of the best sites descent are paid, the bank notes and genealogy. They all have different resources and most of them usually have a period free trial to see if what you want.
10 – The websites free genealogy that I am referring are: FamilySearch org (site Mormons,) cyndislist, MapQuest, RootsWeb, USGenWeb org (down to the pages of County GenWeb basis will be most useful) Oh, and the best free genealogy website is to use Google! You'll be amazed how many clues and pieces that you will find information on your family history using Google. Learn to do Boolean searches and narrow your search down to personal names, places and dates. It is an incredible amount of material already indexed in Google. Also do your research books.google because there are now millions of rare local histories and genealogy books which have been digitized and can be read online for free.
