I have included some information on each page for your reading.

Should a news paper publish an article on about a prominent politician who is running for office?

Here are the following points I came up with of why the newspaper should NOT publish the news paper article on the sexual harassment case of a new public figure (mayor) running for office. During this time, the candidate was living a private life. He settled the court case through payment of money. Can anyone else help me figure out some other points.

against:
wasn’t on public record/wasn’t a public figure at the time
doesn’t mean he did sexually harass
could ruin his chances for mayor–>town will be displeased
he can’t comment on it
is there any dirt on the present mayor?
newspaper could potentially cause mayor to lose election – the politician is not allowed to discuss the case anymore due to law regulations.

Certainly so voters know what he / she stands for or represents.
